What does this position entail?

• Performing Social Life Cycle Assessments (S-LCAs) for energy storage technologies, focusing on their social impacts
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate S-LCA findings with environmental and economic assessments
• Analysing social data related to labour, human rights, and community engagement
• Developing methodologies for assessing social impacts, considering stakeholder perspectives
• Contributing to frameworks and tools for incorporating social considerations into decision-making processes

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or related field
• Profound understanding of social impact assessment frameworks and social indicators
• A track record of scholarly publications related to social impact assessment or sustainability
• Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary research teams
• Prior experience in stakeholder engagement or qualitative research methods would be advantageous.
• Moral and civil integrity

Description:

Senior Researcher will be focusing on the area of Rheology of recycled polymer materials.

Anticipated starting date: on availability – no later than April 1 2023

Duration:  3 months

The successful candidate should:

• Be a Researcher holding a PhD title or its equivalent for 7 years or longer
• Have worked outside the territory of the Czech Republic in the field of research with a working time of at least 0.5 full-time equivalent for at least two whole years in the past three years.
• Have at least 3 publishing records in last 5 years in the Web of Science, Scopus or ERIH PLUS databases.
• Reach the H-Index of min 8.5 - calculation signed by the candidate
• Have at least one experience as a principal investigator or co-investigator in an international or national grant implementation in the past  5 years
• Provide a brief description of intended scientific activities and mobility schedule
• Be fluent in English, Slovak or Czech
• Be highly motivated, self-driven and able to work independently
• Have a collaborative attitude with good communication skills
• Have very good knowledge of English
