What can you expect in this position?

• Dealing with research issues in modern development projects.
• Cooperation with the Silesia Green Power s.r.o. company in the areas of optimization and data processing in the desired fields of A.I., green economy, sustainability.

What do we require from you?

• Graduation from master's or Ph.D. degree programme, no later than 6 years ago (according to the terms of the project's tender documentation).

• Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++ or R.
• The ability to effectively implement algorithms and optimize computational processes.
• A solid understanding of statistics and mathematics (probability, distributions, estimation, and hypothesis tests).
• Advanced mathematical skills, including linear algebra, differential and integral calculus, as well as optimization, will be an asset.
• Knowledge of various tools and frameworks used in machine learning. Experience with tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, or R’s caret is an advantage.
• Ability to evaluate the performance of machine learning models using metrics such as accuracy, bias, ROC curve, etc.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify patterns, and propose solutions.
• Ability to work with large amounts of data and derive relevant insights is of key importance.
• Experience with data pre-processing, including editing, normalization and transformation of datasets.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members as well as various stakeholders is important.
• Experience with agile methodologies and the ability to contribute to team projects is a plus.
• Willingness to maintain proficiency and stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in A.I. and machine learning.
• Ability to interpret and visualize model results.

TBU in Zlin Researchers II

Description:

Senior Researcher will be focusing on the area of Rheology of recycled polymer materials.

Anticipated starting date: on availability – no later than April 1 2023

Duration:  3 months

The successful candidate should:

• Be a Researcher holding a PhD title or its equivalent for 7 years or longer
• Have worked outside the territory of the Czech Republic in the field of research with a working time of at least 0.5 full-time equivalent for at least two whole years in the past three years.
• Have at least 3 publishing records in last 5 years in the Web of Science, Scopus or ERIH PLUS databases.
• Reach the H-Index of min 8.5 - calculation signed by the candidate
• Have at least one experience as a principal investigator or co-investigator in an international or national grant implementation in the past  5 years
• Provide a brief description of intended scientific activities and mobility schedule
• Be fluent in English, Slovak or Czech
• Be highly motivated, self-driven and able to work independently
• Have a collaborative attitude with good communication skills
• Have very good knowledge of English
